Logan County Jail

The Logan County Jail is a primary correctional facility that accommodates adult inmates in Paris, Arkansas, that opened its doors in 1871. About the Logan County

Logan County (previously known as Sarber County) has a population of 21,215 as of the 2021 census.

Logan County was formed from sections of Franklin, Johnson, Scott, and Yell counties in 1871 as the 64th county. The County was named in honor of James Logan, a pioneer who served in the first state and territorial legislatures. The county seats are in Booneville and Paris (dual-seat county). 

Logan County consists of gently undulating farmland, lakes, wooded ridges, and isolated mountains. It is home to Magazine Mountain, the highest natural peak in Arkansas at 2,753 feet (839 meters).
