Arrests

Main County Jail

The main county jail is Howard County Detention Facility, located at 7301 Waterloo Rd Jessup, MD 20794. The Howard County PD operates the facility.

The Detention Center is a medium security facility for male and female inmates, with approximately 3500 inmates. The county police in Howard County are in charge of corrections.

 The Ellicott City Jail, which held twelve inmates, was the first institution to be built. County Executive Edward L. Cochran established a distinct division in 1975. Gerald H. McClellan served as the film’s first director.

Inmates housed in the HCDC are either awaiting trial or sentencing. Some have been convicted and are serving their sentences. Some inmates may be eligible for work release programs. However, others may participate in rehabilitative programs while incarcerated at the HCDC.

Howard County IA Jail

It’s a county jail with a medium security rating situated at 124 South Park Place, Cresco, IA 52136. Male Offenders who have been found guilty of crimes that violate Arkansas state and federal law are housed in the facility. The opening year for the County Jail was 1882.
