Dallas County, Arkansas, got its name in honor of George M. Dallas, a US Vice President in 1844. Formed on January 1, 1845, from the Clark and Bradley counties, the county categorizes its crimes against property and violent crimes. Forcible rape, murder, aggravated assault, and robbery make violent crimes. Property crimes include larceny, vehicle theft, and burglary.
