About Columbia County Jail

The Columbia County Detention Facility is a medium-sized prison located in Magnolia, Arkansas. It was built in 1925 and currently houses up to 80 male and female inmates.

Gean Sieger is the jail administrator in the facility. Gean took over as Jail Administrator in October 2022.

Individuals arrested for petty offenses, felony crimes, and offenders condemned to the Arkansas Department of Correction are housed at the Detention Center. There is one Jail Administrator and thirteen jailers in the Columbia County Detention Facility.

In addition to providing secure housing for prisoners, the facility also offers reintegration programs to male offenders.

The jail is open for visitation seven days a week. Monday through Friday, visits are from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. On weekends, visits are from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. All visitors must sign in at the jail lobby and present a valid government-issued ID before visiting an inmate.

The jail also offers video visitation for those who can’t make it in person. The video visits at the facility are about 30 minutes each. And if either the prisoner or the visitor starts breaking the rules, the visit might get cut short, so it’s essential to be on your best behavior.

You can make a deposit to an inmate’s commissary by utilizing the Access Corrections service provider’s website or use a kiosk located in the foyer at the facility.

The Columbia County Detention Center telephone system is available for collect calls and calls from a pre-approved account. The system is in operation from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM. The system records all calls and is subject to monitoring.
