About the Clark County Jail 

Clark County houses is an all-male facility. The facility has a capacity of 45 beds. Clark County Jail has rehabilitation facilities like vocational training where inmates are engaged in activities and skills that will help them once they are out of prison. 

The Arkansas department of corrections houses probation violators at the county jail.

Inmates’ Visitation Hours and Rules 

You can visit inmates on the following days: 

  • Monday to Friday-7.30 AM to 9.00 pm 
  • Saturday to Sunday-7.30 am to 2.30 pm 

Below are the Inmate visitation rules: 

  1. The inmate must ensure they inform their family and relatives if they are approved for visitation. 
  2. Visitors must be 18 years or older and may not bring any items into the visiting area. 
  3. Visitors cannot bring cameras, cell phones, purses, wallets, food, drinks (except water), or bags, including backpacks or purses.  
  4. Outside food is not permitted during visitation hours. The Sheriff’s Office will provide drinking water upon request.  
  5. Visitors must remove all jewelry before entering the facility. Visitors who refuse to comply with these rules can be denied entrance.  
  6. Before entering the facility, all visitors shall have their hands, arms, legs, and feet patted down by security officers.  
  7. Children under 12 should have their hands patted down by a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians accompanying children should also have their hands patted down by security officers before being allowed inside the visitor screening area. 
  8. You are banned from visiting if you don’t adhere to the visitation hours above.

About Clark County 

Clark County was created by Missouri Territory, the legislature, in 1818. The name Clark, comes from William Clark, the governor of Missouri territory during its creation. At that time, Clark County comprised:

  • Dallas counties.  

Clark County has a population of over 22,500 people. Its seat is known as Arkadelphia. Unlike other counties in Arkansas, Clark County only has one township.
