Criminal Investigation Division

    Led by Capt. Shelby Terry, the Criminal Investigation Division processes and investigates all crimes within Garland County that occur outside of the city limits of Hot Springs. Employing 11 investigators, 3 of which are assigned to the Drug Task Force, C.I.D. duties include the following;

  • Investigating crimes
  • Investigating missing persons
  • Conducting interviews
  • Follow-up investigations
  • Surveillance
  • Preparation of warrants
  • Compiling case files
  • Report entry and processing

   Our Criminal Investigation Division also has a dedicated, full-time, sex offender registration position, which is filled by Deputy O.A. Wynn. Deputy Wynn will be handling all matters relating to sex offenders, including;

  • Sex Offender Registration 
  • Follow ups
  • Issuance of warrants
  • Locating and tracking of offenders
